DX3 strikes dual licenses with all majors
Digital service provider DX3 has struck the first dual licenses with all four major record label groups to represent their digital content on both mobile and online platforms.
DX3 will now become the first digital service provider to supply a white label download platform for mobile operators and online stores with content from all four majors.
The company has a number of distribution agreements in place, providing a white label service for Emap TV's Kerrang!, The Hits and The Box television channels, plus Woolworths. It also has licensing deals with distributors such as Vital:Pias and labels including V2 and Sanctuary.
DX3 CEO Andy Baker says, "No one else has achieved deals of this nature with all four majors. This demonstrates that not only is DX3 leading the way by providing media groups and retailers with a complete multi-platform digital music service, but we are also leading in providing the most comprehensive selection of popular music to make these services a success for our customers. These deals place DX3 right at the forefront of the download revolution; a position we intend to maintain".
