Quirky gift and gadget etailer, Firebox.com is excited to announce that it has won readers’ votes to be crowned Retailer of the Year by top technology magazine, Stuff.

Beating the retail big boys including the likes of Amazon, Play.com, Curry’s and even Apple is a huge achievement for the niche etailer and proves the significance of its customer relations. To add to the excitement, the Ego Street Scoota- a Firebox exclusive which has been a huge hit for the etailer since its launch in June - has also won an award, for Best Eco gadget.

Michael Smith, CEO and Co-Founder of Firebox explains what the award means to the company, which celebrates its tenth birthday this year. “To be honest we were thrilled just to be nominated for a Stuff Award – especially alongside such great brands as Amazon and Apple. And the fact that this is an award voted for by Stuff readers makes it even more exciting for us. We’d like to thank everyone that voted – you’ve really made our day!”

The award, voted by Stuff magazine readers, is the first of its kind to be held by the magazine and is set to become an annual feature.
